Moments of discovery – I love them. No, I haven’t made any discoveries that may change scientific thought, lead to a new invention, or affect millions. I am referring to the everyday discoveries – like a new talent or appreciation or view or taste or music or whatever it might be. They are personal, so no matter how many people have found this newness before, it’s still new for you. There is a thrill that comes along with such a find, a small rush, and it can brighten even an already pretty bright Friday.
So here is my happy discovery of the day: Video Songs by Pomplamoose
As explained by Nataly and Jack, a VideoSong is “a new Medium with two rules: 1. what you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice) and 2. if you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).”
Obviously, I am not the first to make this discovery. This fun-loving duo’s YouTube channel is currently #47 on the list of most subscribed musician channels. Their music is on sale on iTunes and they have collaborated with some other pretty great musicians. The stats on YouTube are enough to convince you that I am way late in the game on this one:
Nevertheless, it’s new to me.
